Approved by the Ministry of Emergency Management, "2023 International Emergency Medical Rescue Forum and Emergency Medical Rescue Equipment and Technology Expo" is scheduled to be held in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, from October 9 to 11, with the theme "Emergency Medical Rescue, Protecting People's Lives". This activity aims to strengthen the emergency medical rescue international exchanges and cooperation, enhance the emergency medical rescue capacity, promote the modernization of emergency management system and capacity building, help the "Belt and Road" natural disaster prevention and emergency management international cooperation mechanism.
This reporter learned from the press conference held by the Emergency General Hospital (National Emergency Medical Research Center) on August 8 that the event was jointly sponsored by the National Emergency Medical Research Center, the International Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Emergency Management, and the China Occupational Safety and Health Association. The forum set up a main forum and five sub-forums. The main forum invited academician Fu Xiaobing, academician Chen Wei, academician Fan Weicheng and other domestic and foreign experts in the field of emergency medicine related to the construction of China's emergency medicine system, emergency medicine challenges, emergency medicine standardization and other content keynote speech. It is reported that in September 2021, approved by the Ministry of Emergency Management and the National Health Commission, the National Emergency Medicine Research Center was established relying on the Emergency General Hospital. The center is a national platform that serves the scene of disasters and accidents, the front line of emergency rescue, and integrates academic research on emergency medicine technology, implementation of emergency medical rescue in disasters, and promotion of the construction of emergency medicine rescue system, and explores the establishment of a discipline system of emergency medicine that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, rescue, and transformation, as well as a network system of emergency medicine resources and rescue forces.
Over the past two years since the establishment of the National Emergency Medicine Research Center, it has focused on building four bases (emergency medicine treatment base, R&D base, training base and rescue base), integrating and optimizing resources, continuously strengthening a number of emergency specialties such as the Center for Emergency and Critical Care, Burns and Plastic Surgery Center, Trauma Surgery Center, Cardio-Cerebral and Cerebral Vascular Disease Center, Respiratory Critical Care Center and other emergency specialties, and significantly improving its medical treatment capacity. The General Hospital of Emergency Medicine has been designated as a pilot hospital of "5G+ emergency medical treatment" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Health Commission, and has become a unit that writes the industry standard of "5G+ emergency medical treatment" in China.
The National Emergency Medicine Research Center has unique advantages in the field of emergency medicine and rescue. Formerly known as the Coal General Hospital (National Mine Medical Rescue Center), the Emergency General Hospital has established 42 provincial sub-centers across the country, forming 256 regional mine accident and disaster medical teams, which have played an important role in rescue and relief of many mine production accidents.In September 2018, in accordance with the work deployment of the Ministry of Emergency Management, the Emergency General Hospital, together with the Beijing Firefighters and Rescue General Brigade and the China Earthquake Emergency Search and Rescue Center jointly formed the China Rescue Team and obtained the qualification certification of the United Nations Heavy Rescue Team, which is a professional force that undertakes transnational (cross-border) rescue on behalf of our country, and has successfully completed the international rescue mission for the 2019 Mozambique Strong Tropical Cyclone Disaster, and the international rescue mission for the 2023 Turkey Mega Earthquake Disaster, which demonstrated China's emergency medical rescue power and image, and was recognized and praised by many parties.
